Tour Itinerary

Whether you travel from Schiphol, Amsterdam Central Station or somewhere else in The Netherlands, we will get you sorted! The trip itinerary here below departs from Amsterdam Central station. Journey schedules are pretty flexible as trains depart at least twice per hour. So don’t worry if you run a bit late or are an early bird, we’ll get you en route!
Day 1 – Leaving from Amsterdam CS in the morning, you’ll head to Haarlem — a key 17th‑century center of art, printing and prosperous brewing families. The city attracted painters like Frans Hals and became a lively hub where trade, craftsmanship and new ideas flowed between Amsterdam and the coast. After check‑in and lunch, a guided city walk introduces you to Haarlem’s most defining historic streets, courtyards and landmarks. You’ll stay in one of our boutique hotels (8+ rating) in the historic center, and we’ll share our favorite lunch and dinner spots or help you secure a table for the evening.
Day 2 – After breakfast, you’ll travel from Haarlem to Hoorn, one of the most important VOC cities of the 17th century. Hoorn was a major base for Asian trade, shipbuilding and maritime exploration, and its prosperity shaped the grand merchant houses and harbors that still define the city today. Once you arrive, you’ll check in at one of the fantastic boutique hotels around Hoorn’s central square — the perfect base to explore the historic streets and waterfront. After lunch, you’ll have the afternoon to discover the city at your own pace, from the old harbor and warehouses to the stately façades that reflect Hoorn’s maritime past. We’ll share our favorite lunch and dinner spots, and we’re happy to help you secure a table for the evening.
Day 3 – After breakfast, you’ll travel from Hoorn to Enkhuizen, another historic port city shaped by seafaring, trade and craftsmanship. Once you arrive and check in, you’ll have time for a relaxed lunch in the old center. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Zuiderzee Museum — an immersive open‑air museum that brings to life how communities around the former Zuiderzee lived and worked. From traditional houses and workshops to maritime heritage and regional crafts, it offers a vivid look at the culture and daily rhythms of the coastal towns.
Day 4 – After breakfast, you’ll leave your luggage safely at the hotel and enjoy a final, relaxed morning in Enkhuizen. Take your time to wander the harbor, revisit a favorite spot from the day before, or simply enjoy the quiet charm of the historic center. It’s a gentle way to round off your journey through the northern towns. Later in the day, you’ll collect your luggage and continue your travels — whether that’s back to Amsterdam, Schiphol, or onward to your next destination. We hope these days have given you a deeper sense of the stories, landscapes and heritage that shaped this region, and that you return home with memories worth sharing.
